Counsel
Independent judgment on technology, platforms, and the vendors who sell them.
Sterling Blake Partners
Sterling Blake Partners advises and acts for leaders, investors, and institutions on the decisions that determine what their organizations become.
The premise
The decisive problems inside large organizations are rarely technical alone.
They turn on relationships, on judgment, and on the presence of someone prepared to own the result.
We bring all three.
What we do
Independent judgment on technology, platforms, and the vendors who sell them.
Access to the investors, operators, and leadership a decision requires.
Programs seen through, under a single accountable principal.
Our view
By 2029, most routine customer conversations at large institutions will be opened, and many of them closed, by software.
The institutions that own their customer data and their agent layer will set the terms of that shift. The rest will rent them from vendors, at the vendor’s price, on the vendor’s timeline.
Capital has already noticed. It is moving toward companies that can show operating leverage rather than headcount, and the customer platform is where that leverage lives.
The vendors understand this. Most buyers do not yet. The advantage belongs to the leader whose counsel has sat on both sides of the table.
Who we are
Sterling Blake Partners is led by Sterling Morrison, an engineer and operator who has built the customer platforms of a top-25 US bank and a global consumer brand. His relationships extend from private capital to senior leadership across financial services and consumer brands.
Acquisitions integrated. Partnerships formed. Platforms migrated while live. Artificial intelligence placed in front of customers in regulated environments.
Where we are not the answer, we know who is.
How we work
The matter at hand, and whether we are the right counsel for it.
A written view: what should be done, who should be involved, and what it will require.
The matter carried through to its conclusion, with one principal accountable throughout.
